2026 Call for Board Nominations

Deadline: July 31, 2026

Submit a Nomination

This year, AUCCCD will hold elections for a Treasurer and four Governing Board Members. One Governing Board position is being filled due to a recent vacancy and will serve the remaining two years of that term. The other three Governing Board positions will serve standard three-year terms. Newly elected individuals will assume their roles during the 2026 AUCCCD Annual Conference in Pittsburgh.

Who Can Run

  • Treasurer: Any current AUCCCD member in good standing with an interest in financial stewardship, strong organizational and communication skills, and a commitment to the association's mission is encouraged to run for Treasurer.

  • Governing Board Members: Open to all AUCCCD members. No prior board experience is required. We strongly encourage nominations from members across all institution types, backgrounds, and career stages.

The election outcome will be announced during the Second Business Meeting at the 2026 Conference in Pittsburgh. The newly elected leaders will officially begin their roles on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, with an introductory Board meeting and discussion of committee engagement.

Nomination Materials

To submit a nomination (including self-nominations), you’ll be asked to provide:

  • Nominator contact information (if not self-nominating)
  • Nominee’s name, institution, email, and other contact details
  • Nominee’s CV or résumé
  • Headshot or photo
  • Summary of involvement or engagement with AUCCCD

Why Serve?

Serving on the AUCCCD Board is a meaningful opportunity to help lead the future of college student mental health. Board members:

  • Attend two full days of meetings prior to the annual conference
  • Participate in a mid-year meeting in the spring (often alongside other national events)
  • Join periodic virtual board meetings
  • Serve on 2–3 committees
  • Have all Board-related travel expenses fully covered by AUCCCD

A Board That Reflects Our Membership

We believe leadership should reflect the diversity of our members and institutions. Whether you’re from a large public university, a small private college, or anything in between—you are qualified to run. No minimum number of years in the field is required. What matters is your passion, perspective, and commitment.

Board service is a chance to contribute, learn, lead, and grow—while having fun and building lasting professional connections.

If you have any questions about serving, we’re happy to talk with you.
